Edmonds Avenue, Ashwood | Brief

Situated on a 785 square metre block a tired weatherboard home was demolished to make way for two double storey townhouses. Due to municipal constraints on the construction of double storey dwellings being built in the rear of the block; these houses were designed to reflect single storey dwellings.

Outcome

Clever use of the high pitched roof allowed for two double bedrooms, a central bathroom and separate toilet to be located upstairs.

Each townhouse has living spaces of approximately 23 squares and both have double lock up garages with internal access.
