Old Burwood Road, East Burwood | Brief
The old saying 'the worst block in the best street' was the only way to describe the location of this site. The block was situated on an old creek bed at the bottom of a gully. This posed two problems. One, a sloping block and two, unstable foundations.
Through the knowledge of the experienced team at SRB, these two problems were easily overcome to produce two very distinct townhouses.
Outcome
Unit A is a double storey 27 square home which consists of two living areas, three bedrooms (master with an ensuite and walk in robe), study, large open plan kitchen, double garage and large outdoor entertaining area. An upstairs balcony leading from the master bedroom over looks the neighbouring parkland.
Unit B is a large single storey home of 24 squares. The home provides three large double bedrooms, ensuite, walk in and built in robes, a large central family bathroom and large open plan kitchen, meals and family room. Sliding doors lead out to a paved entertaining area overlooking the adjoining parkland.
